St. Louis Food Media Forum

FMFSpeaker

I’m pleased to announce that I am going to be a presenter at the second annual St. Louis Food Media Forum August 9 -11, 2013 at The Culinary Institute of St. Louis. The Food Media Forum is a super fun event that covers all aspects of food media including food writing, recipe adaptation, food blog design, social media techniques, marketing and a whole lot more. There are tons of great presenters for the forum and the list is a veritable who’s who of the St. Louis Food Community. In addition, there will be a keynote presentation by Aki Kamozawa and H. Alexander Talbot of Ideas in Food!

In addition to all of the other media topics, there will also be a lot of great information about food photography. My colleagues Jonathan Pollack and Corey Woodruff will be covering camera basics and advanced food photography techniques. In addition, I will be presenting a hands-on premium food photography session (along with the very talented Jennifer Silverberg). Here is what Jennifer and I have in store for you:

In this highly-coveted two hour course, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the art of food photography from a professional food photographer. You’ll be able to use your own camera and practice taking photos with a professional there to guide you. Since the class size is small (just 10 people), you’ll get plenty of individual attention.

It’s gonna be awesome. You should definitely check it out. Early bird ticket sales will be available until the end of June, so don’t wait! Hope to see you there!
