St. Louis Food Photographer: Hawaiian Flavors

If you say you don’t like Spam then you are no friend of mine. Sure, I shot a lot of high end food but when you get right down to it, can you really beat super-processed meat that contains more chemicals than actual meat-like ingredients? Ok, fine, I can understand your hesitation, but seriously, if Spam is prepared properly and paired with good ingredients? Delicious.

Take, for example, the Loco Moco at Cleveland-Health in Edwardsville. This is a hamburger, topped with pineapple and Spam and served over a bowl of rice. The Loco Moco was one of three Hawaiian-themed dishes that I photographed for the August Issue of Sauce Magazine. In addition to the Spam-tastic Loco Moco, I also photographed some beautiful chocolates from VB Chocolate Bar in Cottleville and an Hawaiian-themed JH Chopstick Pig Pasta at Cucina Pazzo here in St. Louis (see below). You can read the article over at Sauce Magazine. Aloha!
