I just got back from another exploratory visit to St. Louis. It was very hot and humid, and one thing is for sure: I’m going to need to invest in more shorts. Not only will I have less need to be in khakis now that I’m leaving the corporate world, but St. Louis is a bit more casual than New York. The humidity there lived up to all the stories that I’ve heard, and it’s only June. Even as I’m typing this my eyes roll thinking about the melting heat.
One way to beat the heat in St. Louis is to take a dip in one of the many city fountains around. Oddly enough, we came across one that had been dyed a deep shade of red. I believe we were at Keiner Plaza with the 2010 Susan G. Komen St. Louis Race for the CureĀ®. Whatever the cause, the red dye made for some macabre images.
