Fortune Ad

One of the things about my new career path that is exciting to me is getting to experience all of these new things which haven’t happened recently or at all in my design career. I get savor the little things along with the big things, and I’m far more excited about my work these days than I have been in years.
My company did really well on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to work for this year. Not as good as Google, obviously, but we did much better than we have in the past, especially seeing as we’ve been on the list for the last nine years. My company decided to run a two page ad in the printed magazine when the results were announced, and that issue hit the newstands yesterday. The ad features a composite image of eight of the people that I’ve had the opportunity to shoot over the past few months – my first ad in a national magazine!

The images are very corporate and I wasn’t in charge of the design or the layout (only the photos), but even so I’m very excited about the ad. Having an ad in a magazine of this size, albeit a business magazine, is very cool and something I wouldn’t have expected, especially since I’ve only been shooting professionally for a few months. Hooray me!
